Overview

Deduma teaches practical skills to students who study around jobs and families. Their old site was a maze of PDFs and dead links, and enrolment happened over the phone. I rebuilt the whole experience: a browsable course catalogue, one-tap enrolment, live-class scheduling and a progress dashboard that keeps learners coming back.

The challenge

Three audiences pull in different directions — first-time visitors need orientation, enrolled students need speed, and tutors need scheduling tools that don't fight them. The previous platform treated everyone the same, so newcomers bounced and tutors kept their own spreadsheets. Completion rates were sliding and support tickets were climbing.

Approach

  • Separate home screens for guests, students and tutors behind one login.
  • Course pages that answer price, schedule and outcomes above the fold.
  • Offline-friendly lesson player so spotty connections don't break study streaks.
  • Companion mobile layouts for every key flow, designed thumb-first.

Outcome

Enrolment moved fully online, support tickets about finding classes dropped to a trickle, and tutors finally plan their weeks inside Deduma instead of around it. The platform now carries the full catalogue with room to add corporate training next.
